The Jonard Tools FLC-1008 is a singlemode OTDR launch cable with 1000 M (3,281 FT) of G657A2 fiber wound inside a compact housing. Connected between the OTDR and the link under test, it eliminates the dead zone in reflectometric tests.
The pigtails are terminated SC/UPC on one end and LC/APC on the other, with color-coded polish types for quick identification. A magnet on the base mounts the housing to fiber racks and a shoulder strap carries it between jobs. Max attenuation is 0.35 dB/km at 1310 nm and 0.22 dB/km at 1550 nm; connector insertion loss is 0.1 dB max with return loss of 65 dB or better.
