The Tru-Cut BH37518 bell hanger bit is the installer's standby for boring wood studs, sills and plates when routing drop wire — a long, stiff-shank twist drill that reaches through framing in one pass. The bit cuts a 3/8 IN diameter hole and measures 18 IN overall, and its plain round shank chucks into any standard drill. A staple for telecom and CATV installers; also called a bellhanger bit or installer bit. Sold each.
